If there is one thing on this list you add to your daily skin care routine, make it this one. Old skin cells pile up on the surface of the skin and can leave it looking rough, dry, and dull. Furthermore, the build-up of dead skin cells can result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne.

Exfoliation not only keeps your skin clean, it also opens the way for moisturizing products to penetrate more deeply into the skin, which makes them more effective. Try our Sugar Whipped Body Scrub and our Natural Facial Scrubs.  We also formulated Goat's Milk Soap Salt Soap Bars.

Limit your time in the bath or shower.  Long showers can strip away much of the skin's oily layer and cause it to lose moisture. Use lukewarm rather than hot water, which can wash away natural oils.

As winter comes, the air dries out. The dryer the air, the more it steals moisture from your skin. If you live in a dry climate, use a humidifier, particularly in your bedroom at night.  Set it to around 60%, a level that should be sufficient to replenish the top layer of the skin.

9. Drink more water and watch your diet.
